But only in Japan.........sorry did I get your hopes up then.
Bloomberg reports that Louis Vuitton sales in Japan fell by 7% in the first nine months of the year, so in order to boost sales prices have been lowered by 7%. The discount has been applied to almost all items.
The lull in sales has been attributed to the strong Yen v's Weaker Euro, but before you start making your fantasy shopping list and grabbing your suitcase. Vuitton products are still considerably higher priced in Japan than in Europe.
ETA:-
Today (1st Dec) also saw a price drop in the UK due to the new lowered VAT, the new VAT of 15% will be active for 1 year so grab whatever you can I know it doesn't seem like a huge saving but it soon add's up

2009 is going to be bright, very very bright.
Louis Vuitton is to launch 4 new colours in the Vernis collection that will also feature on some of the Spring Summer shoes.
As the images of the bags in the new colours are not yet available I thought you'd like to see the shoes.
The new colours are Orange Sunset, Galactic Blue, Rose Pop and Vert Tonic.
I do really like them all (even the green much to my surprise) but my favourites are between the blue and pink.
The shoes are all a part of the Strawberry range, the SS shoes are named after fruit's and have some really adorable names.

Gucci saw a cash cow and tried to milk it.
The Guccioli dog charms are adorable I love a fair few of them, but what I am not loving are the CAT charms.
Now granted I am not a cat person but even so these look a little more like road kill than cute kitties.
While I'm on with it what is with the cheap looking keyring and beaded chain combo?
The clasp on the dog charms is a far better idea most people with be using these as bag charms and that type of keyring will just scratch your hardware.
And as I'm already ranting the Chihuahua dressed in a Christmas outfit...come on Gucci! You get a D for effort must try harder

The next hot designer collaboration for H&M has been announced as the fabulous Matthew Williamson!
This is a collection I'm really excited about, Williamson creates beautiful clothing working really well with colours and intricate detailing.
The collection will hit stores on April 23rd 2009 and the date is already in my diary.
Just a personal opinion here but I think Williamson would be a great candidate to take over from Marc Jacobs at LV, when the day comes.
To get you in the mood here are some pics from Matthew Williamson Spring Summer 2009

The Internet is buzzing with the news of a re-issue of the much coveted Louis Vuitton Graffiti collection, with little info about it at the moment the collection is due to be released January 9th 2009 in conjunction with a Sprouse retrospective Rock on Mars, and will feature bags with neon glow in the dark graffiti on the monogram canvas.
If that's not enough to get you excited then how about this.........

With the news that Madonna is doing the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer Ad's (a prospect I'm not thrilled over) and the last couple being a little lacklustre (in my opinion) I thought I'd share some Ad's of days gone by.
I'll start with one of the ad's from a very pretty campaign.
In 2002 Louis Vuitton released the Conte De Fees collection which was a collaboration with artist Julie Verhoeven, the line was inspired by Fairy Tales.
Where I didn't particularly love the bags I think the ad's are beautiful.
Here is the first, inspired by Snow White and showcasing the beautiful Special Order Red Epi Luggage

You may have seen the blogs buzzing about Karl Lagerfelds beautiful Ipod trunk.
His custom order piece holds 20 Ipods, sub woofer and speakers all perfectly nestled in the fabulous red alacantra. The exterior is the beautiful luxurious black Taiga leather and the brass trunk style fittings.
Now what is not mentioned is why does Karl Lagerfeld have 20 Ipods, well in fact he has a lot more than that and this Taiga trunk is not his only one he also has a monogram trunk that holds 70 Ipods!
Okay, back to why does he have so many, well the music maestro who produces the soundtracks for the runway shows (I'm sorry his name completely escapes me right now) sends Lagerfeld a new Ipod full of tracks every month, now that is service.
As beautiful as Karl's trunk is it I can't help but wonder how do you even keep track of which Ipod has the music you want to listen to on?
Now how long before we see an Apple collaboration for the Karl Lagerfeld Ipod?

Dior's latest "Ultimate" colours of silver and gold have an uncanny resemblance to the Louis Vuitton Mirroir collection.
Unlike the Mirroir these are made from leather (LV is vinyl) but if you loved the Mirroir then I'm sure you'll love this too.
Along with the long purse there is also a smaller square purse, a bellevue/neverfull and speedy look-a-like bags.
It seems Dior is taking more and more inspiration from it's LVMH sister company of late and with the sad demise of the Saddle bag it seems to be lacking a little direction.
The bonus of this "tribute" to the mirroir is that LV never released a purse to match the bags, if you love matching accessories then this is your chance, the pictures look a little matt but in reality it has quite a high shine just like the mirroir.
Both purses retail at £250 and with more Vuitton Mirroir on the Holiday horizon this could make a perfect addition under the Christmas tree

I got the beautiful pink Scuba MM today and it is GORGEOUS!
The material is a thick, spongy neoprene and strangely it smells as good as it looks.
The material has quite a bit of spring so it holds it's neverful-esque shape even when empty, because of this spring it will always have a slightly open top, but it does have a very large zipped pocket for your valuables.
I could imagine it being quite resilient but it comes with TWO sets of care instructions warning about colour transfer, so please be careful around deep dyed clothing or you could end up heart broken on this one
If you missed it (where have you been?!?!) the Scuba is part of the Cruise collection (now named resort but I prefer cruise) and will not be in store's forever so even though the sky's are grey outside look forward to summer and grab it now.
Also part of the Scuba range are
Scuba GM in Pink and Orange
Scuba MM (shown) in Pink and Orange
Pochette in Pink and Orange
Cuff in Pink
Visor in Pink and Black
Thong Flip Flops in Pink and Orange
Sandals in Pink and Orange

In the previous post I briefly mentioned the Riviera Galliera, today I got it!
Launched as a part of the cruise collection the Riviera Galliera depicts the same image as the St Tropez scarf from earlier in the year.
It's a really unique bright piece with the image created by applying 15 separate layers of colour!
Before I saw the Galliera I was a little worried that it may be a little too much but the size really helps it carry off the design.
The canvas and the paint technique to make it a little stiffer than monogramme Galliera which to be honest I love about it, the mono Galliera is just far too floppy for me.
Launched on the 1st November and is a limited edition so if you want it you should contact your nearest Vuitton as soon as possible.
Available only in the GM size
