Whilst in Paris I dropped into as many Louis Vuitton stores as I possibly could, and I was surprised that there was not that many Spring Summer bags on display.
Although during one shopping trip to the Galleries Lafayette I found these two hiding in the corner.
The African Queen clutch in Monogram Métisse - The red monogram is a lurex type thread and really brings the bag to life.
African Queen clutch in Léopard Nocturne print - The golden leopard is a shiny, glittery lambskin and really pops.
I have said on a number of occasion that I didn't think much of these bags, but right here, right now I take it all back.
The materials used are beautiful they sparkle and shimmer like crazy, I would recommend if you are even slightly interested to go and check them out because the pictures seriously do absolutely no justice what so ever to them.
That said as pretty as they really are I won't be buying as I have two limelights already I don't need any more.
What do you think? Has anyone bought either already?

Whilst in Paris I dropped into a few of the Vuitton stores (actually quite a few times lol) my finally visit before heading to the Airport was to the Avenue Montaigne store, my favourite store.
When we were there we were assisted by a really sweet lady named Susan who introduced me to Patrick Louis Vuitton!
He had popped into the store briefly which was a rare occurrence and I was able to get a quick photograph before he dashed off, I presume to the HQ a couple of doors down.
The Avenue Montaigne store also had a very very special piece in store a 18k Solid Yellow Gold clutch bag.
It is totally FABULOUS.
The clutch was launched a few years ago in White Gold and Yellow Gold, there is only one of each colour in existence, the white has already sold.
The bag comes with a gorgeous Velvet quilted lined monogram case and costs a rather large 226,000 Euro's
In order to stress it's beauty I should say again IT IS TOTALLY FABULOUS!!!!!
Here is a peek at the White Gold Version but they picture is nothing compared to what it looks like in real life.
I have now been lucky enough to visit Asnieres the home of Louis Vuitton and the workshop, met Patrick Louis Vuitton and view possibly THE most limited bag of the whole Vuitton universe.......next year I'm aiming for the Show lol
EDIT:
I finally found a picture of the Gold Version, drool away!

Following on the heels of the Gucci hearts NY and the Rome postcard Joy, the Gucci Sloaney is here to celebrate the relaunch of the Sloan Street store.
The Sloan street store is the fifth Gucci store to be redesigned in Frida Giannini's vision although there is currently some work going on at the Rue du Faubourg store in Paris too.
The exclusive Sloaney Joy bags will be available ONLY in the Sloan street branch and also features a scarf of the same design and a set of luggage.
Not a fan of Gucci canvas? No problem the collection will also feature a Royal Blue Joy in leather or crocodile. It is a stunning colour.
With Kate Moss and Peaches Geldof already pictured with their Sloaney's it is destined to be a sell out so if you can get to the Sloan street store I'd suggest you hurry on down before they are gone.

Sorry for the absence I have been on a little vacation to Paris where I shopped until I dropped and walked a new pair of heel uplifts down to their limits (not to mention my toes lol)
I picked up a number of great pieces which I'll reveal over the coming days, if you want to skip the suspense drop into The Bag Lounge where you can see my shopping haul and check out my Paris Journal from the trip.

Back in November the news broke that Matthew Williamson would be the next H&M collaboration and I was really pleased with the news.
As the release date gets closer (April 23rd btw) some pictures have surfaced and I am not disappointed.
I have a H&M store 4 doors away from where I work they don't get every collection but you can bet I'll be swing by on release day to see if these are in.
Without further delay here is a part of the Matthew Williamson collection, it will fly off the rails so make sure you don't miss out!

A major trend this season and one of my personal favourites is Color Blocking.
Either taking one bright color and setting it against a subtle background (black never fails) or for the braver clashing bright colors you ordinarily wouldn't wear together.
If you usually don't do color or at least multicolor 2009 is the year to throw caution to the wind. Grab your pinks and oranges or your blues and green and bring them a little closer..it's only the beginning.
All available from Net-A-Porter, pictured from left clockwise:-

By the end of the month you and your little furry friend can trot on down Cavalli and get a little treat for both of you.
Cavalli are now launching a range of clothing for your furbabies and don't they look swish!
The collection is intended for small to medium pups but you can custom order outfits for larger dogs.
The collection will include T-shirts, Velour Tracksuits, polo shirts, sweaters and puffa jackets. Oh but it doesn't end there for the pup chilling at home why not relax in a satin trimmed bathrobe or silk shorts.

Part five is for all the bags that didn't really fit into the other categories
I really like this one on closer inspection the "ribbons" seem to embossed like the Monogram Satin collection. Shown in a few variations as the inside of the ribbons came in different colors above is Red below is cream
Major detailing with metallic snake skin and lurex monogram embroidery on these bags. Incredible pretty although I expect these will be the Les Extraordinaires pieces that will only be available by 50% down.
So that's all the Bag's what do you think? Drop in The Bag Lounge and let us know

Monogram Quilting is my third part of the show, this new take on the Limelight quilting has an edgier look achieved by the studs, thick chains and strong color-black combinations.

Part two for the Louis Vuitton Show bags features the Embossed bags and some of my favourite pieces
This clutch showed in black and cream also, I like the padlock detail but I'm a little over clutches they aren't the most practical of bags and after 4 seasons I'm thinking it's time to move on.
