I love the Louis Vuitton Charms but often think they don't focus much on that collection, there are so rarely any new additions.
Then almost as if they were reading my thoughts a whole new mini collection of charms has been released.
In a baby/child theme the new additions to the family are:
Little Girl Doll in White Gold and Diamonds - £4300
Gingerbread House in Yellow, White and Pink Gold with Diamonds and Pink Sapphire - £2620
Little Boy Doll in White Gold and Diamonds - £4300
Rattle in Yellow Gold with Sapphires and a Pearl - £2060
Rattle in White Gold with Diamond, Sapphires and a Pearl - £2040
Little Boy Doll in Yellow Gold and Diamonds - £4020
Toy Sailing Boat in White Gold - £2240
Little Girl Doll in Yellow Gold and Diamonds - £4020
My favourite piece is the little Gingerbread House and it will also look adorable as a pendant, the rattles are really sweet too but as I don't have any children I may look a little crazy with that one.
In general, I think Dolls are one of the creepiest things around so the teeny little doll charms will not ever be coming home with me, not even as a free gift.......well Ok maybe as a free gift.
What do you think of the new Charms? Or if you could commission a charm what would you choose? Why not leave a comment or drop into The Bag Lounge and let us know

The Christian Louboutin Marie Antoinette's surfaced a little over a month ago when the news broke of the super limited shoe.
Priced at a little under £4000 there are only 36 pairs in the world.
On Friday night one of these pairs of unique shoes graced the feet of Dita Von Teese. Dita is a big fan of Louboutin shoes and has a to die for collection for which the pièce de résistance must be the Marie Antoinette's.
If you take a peak at the close up you'll see that not only has she got her hands (or should that be feet) on a very rare shoes but they're are also personally dedicated to her.

As in slightly disappointing??
The new wave of releases for Louis Vuitton brought the Denim Slightly in Pink and Grey. Maybe it's just me but I'm not overly impressed with the releases this year, I was interested to see the new pink and grey denims but the reality is disappointing. The colors looks a little too washed out the bag a little shapeless.
It's one saving grace is that very, very often the bags look a million times better in real life than they do on websites so fingers crossed that the Slightly is actually Slightly underestimated*
The Louis Vuitton Denim Slightly retails at £685

*That was the last pun I promise

I have been waiting of picture of this since February! The first rumours of it had it's released placed in March but somewhere along the way that changed.
The Chanel London Madness Make Up collection will now launch at Selfridges in May. The launch coincides with the opening of the New Chanel Make Up counter where they have the exclusive pre-sale rights, the collection will be released everywhere else in July.
The pièce de résistance of the collection has to be the Pearly banner Hi-lighter retailing at £52 and emblazoned with the Union Jack

I repeat OUTNET.COM is LIVE!!!!!
The wait is over as Net-A-Porter's answer to the Outlets went live today, I have taken a look and picked a few pieces to show you.
Lets start with the Hervé Léger Bandage dress that is discounted down from £1,296.81 to £778.09. The Bandage dress has no season so it will make a great investment piece.
Next up are the Christian Louboutin Eugenie's which unfortunately have already sold out. I will be stalking that page hoping and praying they get returned, you see I already ordered the Eugenie's once. Only they were full price, super high and cream so the fear took hold and I return them BUT now thanks to Outnet I may (fingers crossed praying really hard here) get a second chance and the best bit? They are reduced from £954 to £381.60
My 3rd item would make a great purchase for SS 09, the Playsuit/Jumpsuit is a big trend for this season so why not snap up this Alexander Wang Silk Playsuit, with 40% off down from £269.15 to £161.49
And for those with a slightly theatrical flair how about this Alexander McQueen Degrade Kimono Mini dress which has an amazing 60% at £788.80, original price was £1,972
And my final piece is another sensible buy of the season where the trend of soft nudes reins supreme this Alberta Ferretti Grecian dress is the perfect summer outfit. Originally £631, now £441.70.
As well as the great discounts the Outnet site are introducing Flash Sales, 72 hour shopping bonanza's with huge discounts, the adrenaline will really be pumping as you try to out click the shoppers before the sales end. The first sale is due to start in approximately 7 days and will feature summer dresses at up to 80% off!
I hope you have it bookmarked

A landmark ruling in Taiwan has fined an Ex Employee of Hermès Taiwan for selling fake bags.
Joyce Lee, used Hermès VIP lists to contact clients and claim that she could get around the long waiting lists and acquire the bags for them. Only she went on to sell them fakes.
She was convicted of selling a total of four bags and mix of Birkin's and Haut a Courroie (HAC) and Taiwan law states that in trademark violations fines can be issued between 500 - 1500 times the price of the ORIGINAL product.
Even though Ms Lee was fined the minimum allowed this still comes to over £5 million pounds (NT$ 256 million).
Also as a part of the ruling Lee will be jailed for 3 months and must publish the verdict along with an apology to the company and customs in two newspapers.
A company statement from Hermès said,“The compensation award is the largest amount ever awarded in a trademark infringement case in Taiwan. Hermès Taiwan is grateful for the decision.” Hermès also “believes it will serve as a warning to those unscrupulous operators seeking to profit from the sale of counterfeit goods.”

If the Louis Vuitton Tribal shoes are the shoe of the season then the Yves Saint Laurent Cages are their closest competition for the crown. New in on Net-a-porter.com
today are not one but two exclusive styles of the Cage shoes.
The Yves Saint Laurent Cage Ankle Boots
are crafted from Navy patent leather and a complimenting Silver caged heel, I like contrast of the silver heel on this one it makes a nice change from the fully dark pairs that have been seen in many of the fashion magazines. Retail price on the Ankle boots is £730
The second exclusive pair are the Yves Saint Laurent Cage Sandals, the open toed style will prevent any problems of toes poking through the cages (which is possible with the closed styles). The sandals are navy patent leather also and fasten with a velvet ribbon. The retail on the sandals is £820
The Cage shoes are destined to be an iconic piece of fashion history, and icons never go out of style.
Remember these two pairs are exclusive to Net-a-porter.com
so what are you waiting for?

Rumor has it that Madonna will be returning as the face of Louis Vuitton for the Fall Winter 09 Ad Campaign.
I am praying with all my might that is not true. The Spring Summer Ad's were to me more of an Ad for Madonna than the House with the very products she was "selling" fighting for your attention on the page. Maybe it was the splayed legs, the fishnet tights, the heavy make up or the not so subtle airbrush but the Spring Ad's were a miss for me.
Madonna is great for scandal and she certainly hits headlines which I guess at the end of the day is the result you want but I long for them to bring back the class, the sophistication, the elegance of the brand, this is not achieved by a 50 year old woman spread-eagled in logoed pants.
What do you think? Is Madonna a good choice for the Ad's or would you rather see someone else too?

Part of the Summer collection the Christian Louboutin Tigresse
Friday, 10 April 2009
The suit pictured to the left could very well be the future of fashion. Nothing about it looks out of the ordinary right?
Well, that suit is in fact made out of rubbish. 50 plastic bottles to be precise.
The plastic bottles are ground down into chips, then melted and finally refined in a soft but hard wearing polyester.
Granted polyester is not the most luxurious of fabrics but it's putting waste to good use and it sells for a budget £55 for the whole suit.
The suit was created by Designers at Debenhams, the UK department store, and took around 12 months to produce.
Elena Antoniou, a spokesman for the store, said: 'We are proud of our creation as it's right on trend in terms of fashion, and kind to the environment, without costing the earth.
'If it proves popular amongst our customers then there's no reason why we couldn't extend it to menswear, so watch this space.'
What do you think? Do you like the Suit? Would you wear something made from old plastic bottles?

I have been bitten by the Twilight bug (no pun intended) and whilst reading gossip sites about the filming of New Moon I couldn't help notice that pretty much every star of the movie wears Ray-Ban Wayfarer's.
This is not exactly a new trend A-listers have been rocking Wayfarer's for a while now, the difference here is that it's colored pairs that are now dressing the star's faces.
To get your very own pair of Wayfarer's check out Net-A-Porter where you can get these unique Two Tone Ray-Ban Wayfarer at £117. Perfectly on trend but also individual enough to stand out of the crowd.
Or for the budget conscience recessionista check out the strikingly similar Oasis Ibiza Festival sunglasses for only £12, at that price it really matter if you lose them at an Ibiza festival!

Color blocking is one of the big key trends for Spring Summer, I blogged about the outfits but there is more than one way to color block.
If you're not quite ready to leap head first in to bright colors then shoes and bags can add the shot of colour to a neutral background.
And to save you the leg work I've even found the perfect pair of shoes for the trend.
The Carvela Hyper
are available via Kurt Geiger
and retail at £120.
The Hyper's come in the brown/pink/green combo shown below but also black/grey or white/turquoise/green.

As you know by now I took a little trip to Paris recently and I did promise you pics from my shopping haul.
With no bags from Spring Summer calling my name it was time to turn my attention to one of my other loves...SHOES!
If there were a shoe of the season that award would without a doubt go to the Louis Vuitton Tribal Runway shoes.
So who am I to resist the call of the wild?
Introducing my very own Louis Vuitton Zesty Tribal Runway Shoes.

Check out the beautiful quiltiness of the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily bag.
Many of the fashion houses have taken to producing quilted designs in 2009 and the sophisticated style of Miss Sicily is amongst my favourites. Not only is the bag versatile enough to be carried either by hand or shoulder but also features a practical phone and zipped pocket.
Retailing at $2650, available at Nordstrom now
Louis Vuitton have embraced the bag charm trend full on and continue to turn out the cutest charms.
April added a new addition to the family in the shape of the Rock Flower Bag Charm. The antique look brass and resin charm features the classic Vuitton Fleurs and hammered logo's nails.
Retailing at £235 the charm is available now at your local Vuitton store or online.
