Having just returned from a Disney Vacation I came across this Alexander McQueen Hooded sequin dress
on Net-A-Porter and couldn't help but thinking that it is THE most perfect Disney villain dress there could be.
With Halloween just around the corner how glam would you be turning up at a Halloween party in this (or any party really).
At £7360 I admit it is majorly excessive but I love it's dramatic flare and it a classic shape that will never go out of style, you could pull this from your wardrobe time and time again for years to come.
To work a dress like this your main accessories should be bucketfuls of confidence, you are going to turn many many heads and strong shoulders because with all those sequins that baby is going to be heavy!

If you are starting to turn your thoughts to the holiday season I have the perfect gift idea for you. The Aspinal Handbag Hook
Handbag hooks really are a fabulous creation they allow you to keep your bag close at hand by simply hanging it from the table which is not only great for security but also to keep your bag off the germy ground.
Aspinal's Handbag Hooks come in a range of styles from leather designs to sparkling crystal encrusted ones and are also available in gold and silver tones.
EDIT TO ADD OFFER!
Get an amazing 20% off your first shopping basket at Aspinal of London until Nov 15th 09 with this promotion code: AFUK20OFF (valid till 30th Nov 09)

Great news!
Vogue has confirmed that Fashion's Night Out will be repeated for 2010 and not only that but it will be bigger and better than before!!
So far rumours are that retailers in New York are pushing for a tax free day and there is the possibility that fashion shows would be staged for the shoppers. The 2009 FNO was pulled off on short notice but became a raging success I can only anticipate what they can do will this long to plan the event.
FNO will again take place in various cities across the world, I didn't make it to the 2009 event but I'm making it my mission to be there for 2010.

Sadly there wasn't a great deal I liked bag-wise in the recent Louis Vuitton show. The Vuitton show is usually so very different and initial reactions can be very different from those after you've had a few days to dissect the show but I have looked at the pics 780000000 times (or that's what it feels like) and still not a whole lot of love growing. HOWEVER............
All is not lost for me there was one line that I likes and that was the striped monogram bags particularly the Noe. Although I try not to get my hopes up as often the runway Noe's do not make it to sale this Noe will! And not only will it be produced but it will also be helping others through it's sale.
You see the little striped Noe from the Runway was chosen by Naomi Campbell to benefit the charity she is involved in the White Ribbon Alliance.
The striped Noe which is a metallic leather bag with thin strips of monogram canvas sown onto it is rumoured to cost 1,900 euros, ($2,789) when it's released in March. Naomi said “I think it’s going to sell really well,” me too you can put me down for one.
About The White Ribbon Alliance:
The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood is an international coalition of individuals and organizations formed to promote increased public awareness of the need to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for all women and newborns in the developing, as well as, developed countries.

The models made their way to the Paris runway complete with giant afro's after taking a detour via Woodstock 1969.
The bags came for the most part in slouchy messenger or backpack shapes in ombre shades of pink, green and blue. Most bags had a attached some form of tails or tassels and on occasion both. The other main accessory for the bags was what appears to be a toggle and on first impressions seems a little like the Gucci Bamboo toggle they sometimes use.
Shoes came in surprisingly flats and dressed up with their own straw mustaches for the lack of a better description. Clogs, Uggs, moccasins and wellington styled shoes all made an appearance.
You can find a discussion thread and LOTS more pics from the Spring Summer 2010 show at The Bag Lounge.

Another unique set design from Chanel this time in the guise of a huge Hay Barn in the middle of the Grand Palais
I am not a fan of the clumpy wooden clogs but there were some really pretty flowery shoes shown in black and white

When the news broke that Lindsay Lohan would be involved in the creative process of designing the Emanuel Ungaro Spring Summer 2010 show it was not greeted with smiles and applause, it was a little more like shock and horror.
The show which took place on Sunday has also been the subject of some rather scathing reviews but the question I have to ask was she ever going to get a fair trail on this one?
Personally I don't think the clothes are really that bad however I don't have the benefit of being in the front row when the quality comes into question.
There are three main flaws that I see, a) the colour palette and shapes are a little behind the times, put this show out for Spring Summer 2009 and it would have fit right in.
b) the outfits are just a little juvenile, they have the essence of the girls that are trying to get into clubs underage that are trying just a little too hard to fit in.
c) it's more high street than high fashion. Now c) good be both a good and bad thing one hand it makes it a saleable collection but on the other hand the highstreet can knock out interpretations quickly once this goes widespread who's really going to want to wear or buy designer clothing that everyone and their next door neighbour is wearing too.
Bottom line, it's not really all that bad and don't be surprised if you see elements of it stores like Topshop in the coming season but here are some pics decide for yourselves.......
