Kate Hudson always manages to pull off every look from the super laid black casual to the uber glam and her appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new movie.
The poncho Kate is wearing is from the Louis Vuitton Pre Fall 2010 collection and I have loved it since the moment I laid eyes on it in January and that picture just made me want it even more.

Sorry I just couldn't resist the pun, Aspinal has just released the cutest set of nautical accessories for the summer ahead.  The pieces are available in two colours, choose from a striking London red with white stripes or a dark glossy navy blue with white stripes.

First up is the handbag essential, the compact mirror. Measuring 3.5" x 3.5" the case of the mirror is a suede lined patent calf leather and retails for only £45.

Also as a part of the collection there are two sizes of cosmetics/toiletry cases, these will make the most perfect travel cases to really embrace the holiday spirit.
First up is the smaller of the two cases measuring 5" x 7.5" x 3"and retails for £89, the larger case  (7" x 9.5" x 3.5") retails for £130. The sweetest little detail of the cases is the enamel life ring used to finish the zipper, such a cute accent piece. I should also mention that as these could be used as toiletry cases the lining is water resitant.

My favourite and probably most versatile piece of the range is the flat pouch, intended as a cosmetics case it would equally as well as a purse or clutch.
Again there are two sizes available the smaller of the two (3.75" x 5.25" x 0.25") is finished with a anchor charm, the larger with a life ring (5.25" x 6.75" x 0.25").
The flat pouches retail for £39 and £55.

All the above pieces are available from Aspinal now

Created from the finest Plonge Lambskin, a subtle leather with a natural grain and subtle shading, the Leah bags retail from £550 to £650 and is available both instore and online now.
My favourite style in the collection is the Tote bag, I also like the messenger but I'd need to get a closer look at that one as I'm a little picky when it comes to messenger bags.

If there was only one designer you could choose as an example of the Sport Luxe trend this Summer then it would have to be Gucci.

To help achieve this look one of the materials they used was Neoprene, or wetsuit and the classic Boston Bag got a sporty make over.

The Gucci Techno Tag Boston bag comes in two colours, black and magenta neoprene and is embossed with the traditional GG deisgn.
Inside the bag features Gucci crest lining, a zipped pocket along with pockets for a mobile phone and a PDA.

I do tend to be drawn to the more colourful bags and having seen the magenta bag in person I love it! The impact of the colour and the unusual material just adds that little extra oomph however with practicality in mind black is probably a little more versatile.

This is not the first time that Neoprene has been used in bags as Louis Vuitton used it for the Scuba range one thing I do find with this material is that if you have heavy things in the bag it does tend to sag at that point, at this time I do not know if this is an issue with the Gucci Boston or if the base has been reinforced.

Stats:
Gucci Techno Tag Boston bag retails for £785
Dimensions: 33cm x 17cm x 21.5cm
Handle Drop: 13cm

Once upon a time I had a pair of wooden soled shoes and surprisingly they were very comfortable which is good news if you plan of wearing one of the top trends for summer.
The wooden soled shoe or clogs are already starting to make there into the stores in preparation for the sunshine and to help you get your pair I've picked four to take a closer look at.
First up is DINKY from FAITH retailing for £45, the almond toe beige suede clog ticks all the right boxes.

JOLA from Kurt Geiger is available in both black and beige and retails for £160. I personally prefer the beige for two reasons 1) it's going to look fabulous with your summer tan 2) the contrast between the darker wooden sole and nude toned leather upper add a little more oomph.
At the higher end of the market we have Jimmy Choo's Urban clog sandals retailing for £255. Admittedly as a bit of a shoe snob these are my favourite although the Faith shoes do come a close second the Choo's has it as they are little more versatile from Luxe Sport through Safari all the way to Girly florals there is not a trend that won't work for these.
For those that like something a little different then check out the Alexander Wang Trish leather wedge mules the 4.5" wedge slip on's retail for £515.

So there we have on-trend shoes in  so very different price brackets, which are your favourite?
