Meet Margaret, the latest release from the Mulberry Fall Winter 2010 collection.  The Margaret collection, made after Princess Margaret, is currently available in three materials, soft matte leather, pebbled leather and luscious suede.

The mini Margaret bag has a long chain strap that make's it suitable for shoulder or cross body wear, although you could always tuck the strap away and use it as a clutch. The flap style bag has magnetic closure to secure your belongings, one internal pocket and is suede lined.

If you tend to carry the world with you and a mini bag just won't do well then you are in luck because Margaret also comes in a large shoulder bag, in the same materials and colours as the mini.

Although you could use both of the above flap bags as clutches the Margaret collection has it's very own large fold over clutch. The clutch bag comes in three suede options: Black, Plum and Grape.
This functional clutch has pockets galore with a zipped and popper external pocket along with an internal slip pocket and zippered bag closure and finally a wrist strap of those times when you need both your hands free.

Take one big summer trend, the clog, mix that with Shearling the big hit for winter and you'll have one hot must have item on your hands.



Pioneers in shearling boots are of course Ugg who hit the mainstream a few years ago with a boot I have yet to understand the appeal for, however time has moved on and Ugg have developed a bigger range of styles for all tastes.

The Chef collection for fall winter is dressed with a sprinkling of golden stars on a backdrop of either black or brown zucca canvas.

When colour played a part in the Fendi Fall collection that colour was red. The burgundy Selleria bags are elegant and classic without being in your face, not always an easy task for red leather.

Fendi's newest It Bag, The Peekaboo, has various incarnations in a variety of materials one of which is Light blue grained leather with a grey smudged centre line. The inner compartment of the bag comes either in Brown zucca or a natural python.

Although Fendi have had great success with their Peekaboo's and Spy's the signature Fendi bag shall forever be the Baguette.
Included in the Fall collection are two special Baguette bags one being a strokable velvet with gold chain buckle detail and the other a glittering embroidered leopard print.

This year I may actually look forward to the chill of winter, the reason behind that being that it will give me a great excuse to pick up some of the adorably cosy winter pieces from Louis Vuitton.

The Grand Froid winter collection has been available for a few years now but this winter see the addition of the bang on trend Snood.

New for Fall is the Poliana Collection and I love every piece of this. Each items is made with soft cashmere and lurex for added sparkle, the scarf is finished with two fox fur pompoms.


As I'm sure you can see purple is the colour of choice for fall however other colour options will be available for the above collections.

Whilst collecting my luggage from the carrousel one day the man beside me reached out for his own luggage, grabbed the handle and pulled the only problem was his luggage stayed just where it was and the handle did not. I'm sure you've seen it yourself luggage quite literally bursting at the seams even some held together with tape, rope and sometimes a prayer.

With many fashion labels developing their own luggage ranges there is a wide selection of styles and colours for you to choose from, lets take a look at few pieces.


Top left we have the Louis Vuitton Vernis Pegase 45 (£1570), this patent leather trolley suitcase also comes in Gris Art Deco, Bleu Nuit, Pomme D'Amour and the soon to be released Rouge Fauviste (cranberry).
Bottom left is the Mulberry small trolley in Scothgrain (£495), the scotchgrain case is both durable and water resistant making it a great choice to deal with the stresses of travel.

Centre Top - Prada Trolley is Ruby Red Saffiano leather (£1540). Although this will be incredible easy to spot with it's delicious red colouring there are other options available: Black, Baltic Blue, Cocoa, Off-White

Both the pieces centre bottom and top left are classic Balenciaga each with the signature hardwear, deep dyed colours and soft leather.

Finally for a touch of understated chic we have the Bottega Veneta Marco Polo trolley, the rubberized canvas and external pocket make this case both practical and resilient, perfect for globetrotting, retails for $2750 (approx £1820)

The good news is that all the pieces shown are suitable for carry on if you prefer not to check your luggage.
