I don't usually do posts on cosmetics but I picked up a little kit today that I'm actually quite excited about so just had to share.

Even though it's still early days 2013 for me has been a series of  mini makeovers, it wasn't a new years resolution just something that happened quite naturally. It all started with the beauty side of things; new haircut, new skincare, new make up.....maybe one day  I'll get to tackle my overflowing wardrobe but lets not be hasty.

Foundation primer's have been popular for a few years now and I've tried a few over that time, most recently I've been using L'Oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer, which I was quite happy with but I'm now down to the last few applications and thought I'd try something new.  I've been hearing good things about Smashbox Primer's so off I headed to my nearest Smashbox counter to check out the range.

Faced with nine different options I was a little overwhelmed with choice and having never used the product before I wasn't sure if I should just stick to the simple Photo Finish primer or go for a more specialised option. That's when I spotted the little Try It Kit, Smashbox's Top five bestsellers all in one handy little pack and at £19 it costs less than the individual primer.

The kit contains miniatures of the Photo Finish Primer, Photo Finish Lid Primer for eyes, the Limitless eye liner in onyx, Full Exposure Mascara in jet black and a Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume so not only do you get to try some of their best products without a big outlay they are also a perfect handbag/travel size product.

I only picked it up today so I haven't yet had the chance to try it out but I'm excited to see if the products live up to the hype.  I'd love to hear your experience's with the Smashbox primer, have you tried any of the others?  Or perhaps there's another primer out there you swear by let me know and maybe that'll be next on my list when my mini runs out.
