Yesterday I posted about my Top 5 Bags from New York Fashion Week today it's my second love footwear's turn. So let's take a look.
Why?: I've never really understood they whole winter boot with your toes exposed scenario but I'm willing to over look it for the gorgeous Jason Wu whip stitched beauties above.
Why?: The Prabal Gurung show was filled with feminine shapes but with a strong hard edge, these boots epitomise that perfectly. The shoe part of the boot is almost separate from the boot and a suitably respectable office shoe shape then add the rest of the boot with it's Gladiatorial edge and almost punkish buckles and braces it sounds like it shouldn't work but it does.
Why?: I love the braid detailing on these boots it serves to dress up what would be a plain slouched boot and nicely ties into military and folk trends that you often find pop up around the Winter period.
Why?: I picked these for their ladylike elegance, Marc by Marc Jacobs could do no wrong this fashion week. The shape of the heel is gently tapered to mimic the shape of the shoe, they are demure, refined and would look perfect on the feet of any aspiring Hitchcock Heroine
Why?: My last pick is simply because they are so fun! I'm fairly conventional when it comes to clothing but I do love a quirky shoe and the Kate Spade Taxi shoes are fab.
That's my top 5 for footwear, what do you think? Are there some shoes you've fallen head over heels for not on the list?
